Creating gutters and downspouts

- [Instructor] This week, we're going to talk about gutters and downspouts. Now I'm going to start with gutters. That's the easy one because if you go to the dropdown menu on the roof tool, you will see that there is a built-in gutter tool. So all you need to do is choose that tool, select a gutter type that you want to use. In this case, I've only got one choice, so I'll just accept that. And then you just touch one or more edges of your roof to apply your gutters. Click the modify tool to finish. And it's really just that simple. Okay, I've got a callout view here on my elevations branch. I'm going to double click that and that's a zoomed in look at that gutter condition. And you can see the final result here. So all a gutter really is, is a sweep that follows the edge of the roof and has a profile assigned to it. So if I select this gutter, you can go to edit type and there's the profile that's being used to shape that gutter. Now, there are other choices here. So this gutter…
