- [Instructor] This week, I want to talk about modifying shared coordinates. So when you have linked files in a Revit project, it is often the case that they will be managed using shared coordinates. Now, shared coordinates is quite simply a mechanism that allows us to save all of the transformations between two files. So that would include any modifications along the x, y, or z directions and any rotations. So in this example here, we're in this office building file, and you can see that it's made up of various pieces of geometry. But then out here, we have this site model, and we also have this little outbuilding model. Both of those are linked models that are brought into this project, and then their positioning is carefully coordinated so that everything lines up the way it should and then saved as a shared coordinate system.
