- [Instructor] Once you understand your scope and you've selected your methodology, selecting your tools becomes pretty straightforward. There are a few factors you'll want to consider first, however, budget, complexity, and collaboration. Risk assessments don't often require complex automated tools, given the nature of the risk assessment process itself. Many consulting organizations use custom-built spreadsheets or applications that include both questions and automated score calculations based on the risk assessment methodology they choose to follow. One tool worth investigating in this space is SimpleRisk.
