- [Narrator]] Every SharePoint site has a beginning, a purpose, and eventually, an end. Without proper lifecycle management, unused or outdated sites can pile up, leading to inefficiencies, wasted storage, and potential security risks. As a SharePoint admin, you're responsible for helping to ensure your organization's SharePoint environment remains organized and efficient. The good news, you can do most of this with tools already available in the SharePoint Admin Center, even if you don't have access to Pro features. The first step in managing site lifecycles is to establish clear guidelines for site creation. This includes defining naming conventions and standard templates to ensure new sites are easy to identify and follow a consistent structure. For example, team names could use a format like team, department names, while project sites might follow a project, project name.
