Businesses often deliver products to customers, so minimising the distance their drivers have to travel can save significant amounts of money. In this movie, I will show you how to visualize the number of locations within a given distance from a central point. My sample file is 11_03_Distance, and you can find it in the Chapter_11 folder of the exercise Files collection. In this workbook. I have a map and I have zoomed in quite a lot, and the map is centered around the District of Columbia. That's the National Capital Area of the United States. I would like to draw a circle around all of the points that appear in the map as I have it displayed, and find out what the radius of the circle is. To do that, I will go to the Map Options toolbar that appears here, and then point to the triangle at the bottom. And the tool that I want to use is the Radial Selection tool. So I'll click there.
