- Do you like fixing typos? Back when I started my career, I fixed typos on websites every day. Clients had to email me to tell me what to change because they didn't have access to the website that I'd built in Dreamweaver. When Contribute came along, clients could access their own sites to make quick changes and they could do it without knowing much about technology. But you should have heard the uproar among freelancers about Contribute. The world was ending. There would be no more work for us. If everyone was working on their own website what could we possibly do for work? Well, there was nothing to worry about. When clients got their copy of Contribute, some never used it after it was set up and continued to request updates. Others made updates, but asked for more features for their sites. Either way, there was no drop in business. I had time to do more interesting work because there were fewer typos to fix.…
