From the course: Tech on the Go: No-Code for Coders

No-code for coders

- This is an audio course, thank you for listening. - We'll need 500 million new applications between 2020 and 2025 according to Microsoft. With close to 8 billion people on the planet that's one new application for every 16 people. That is a lot of programming, and a lot of programmers that are needed. Since we don't have enough programmers to address this need, Microsoft also estimates that 450 million of those apps will be built with no code and low code tools. So what's this no code, low code thing? And how will it impact you in your programming world? In this audio only course, we look at how the world of no code will impact your coding career in the short and the long-term. No technology is perfect so we'll explore five big concerns with no code tools. If you haven't encountered no code in your job yet you're likely to run into it in the next few years. I'm Jen Kramer and I've been straddling the no code and coding world since 2000. I love lowering barriers to entering the technology world and I'm excited about how no code will enable more people to share their ideas online. So if you're ready, join me in this audio only course, and learn more about no code.
