Creating the flag

On the screen right now, we see one of the flags that are suspended from one of the buildings on the right side of Amsterdam's canal. It's the Hotel Pulitzer. So what we're going to do right now is create that flag. Now, it has a very distinct logo, and some verbiage. So what I did is, I went to their website. It's easy to find, Hotel Pulitzer in Amsterdam, and I got their logo. So, I brought it in and I brought it over to Illustrator. There it is. You can see it's low res, that I've blown it way up. Basically, what I want is to see that logo. Now, one thing I've done though the years is that I tend to trace logos because they are from, by many years of, of being in advertising, I know how crucial a logo is to a company. So I don't mess with logos. I just simply trace it to create the art. I will create the art, but it will be traced on the basic design. So on that, I created my red tone, which is what I wanted for the flag, and I, by careful study, I've realized that in the summer…
