In my years of coaching leaders, delegation and feedback consistently emerge as the most challenging leadership competencies to master, especially in today's continuous improvement environment. Right now I want to focus on the latter, specifically the art of providing constructive feedback to Gen Z employees. When it comes to giving effective feedback, It isn't about criticism, it's about being a catalyst for growth and development. In other words, it should be a tool for building up and not breaking down. For effective feedback to thrive, it's important to cultivate a culture of open dialog. Equip all of your managers with the tools to deliver constructive feedback that empowers, rather than criticizes. Have them model positive feedback behaviors.
