Choosing the right AI for the job

- Thanks for joining me. You've made the right decision. Throughout this course, I'm going to be switching between different AI platforms depending on what I need each prompt to do. For the majority of cases, I'll be using ChatGPT version 3.5. Why is that? Well, that's what you get access to with a free account. However, if you're using the page GPT-4 version, even better. You'll probably get better results. That's what I tend to use personally. Now, here's a heads up. Things are changing unbelievably rapidly in this AI realm. At the time of recording, plugins have just been rolled out a few days ago. However, it's all so fresh. I can't guarantee certain plugins will still be available or that they'll work the same way when this course is released. There might even be better options out there by then. It's a dynamic world, my friends. So when we need access to live internet data on this course, we'll be turning to Bing's version of ChatGPT which you can access through the Microsoft Edge browser. It's a really handy tool and it ensures that we're not limited to out-of-date knowledge. Of course, I could use ChatGPT's brand new web browsing feature for this, but it's only available to subscribers and I want everyone to be able to play along. So we'll be leaning on Bing. And let's not forget about Google's Bard. While most of these prompts will work on Bard, I won't be demonstrating that here, but feel free to give a go if you're curious. Just bear in mind that you might need to tweak the prompts slightly to optimize the results. Personally, I find ChatGPT's output to be my preference especially when it comes to conversations. Now, it's important to note that I won't be covering how to write good prompts in this course. If that's something you're interested in, please check out my course, How to Research and Write Using Generative AI Tools. That's where I dive deep into that topic. And trust me, it's worth exploring. You need to know this stuff. By the way, I've got more exciting AI courses lined up so make sure to keep checking back for those. And if you don't currently have access to ChatGPT or Microsoft Edge, head over to this webpage. You'll find links to both along with a spreadsheet containing all of the prompts that I'll be discussing throughout the course. Plus, there's some extra goodies waiting there for you. Who doesn't love tasty treats, right? So if you're ready to embark on this AI adventure, put on your learning slippers, buckle up, and let's jump right into our first prompt.
