- If you do your job properly and create a great design system, people are going to start using it. There's the intrinsic incentive that it'll save them time and make their work look good, and there could also be extrinsic incentives, like the design system becoming part of the product review process. You'll need to make sure that you can support all of the teams using the design system, and ensure that they all use it consistently, and you'll want to do that without having to increase the number of staff in your group to be the interface police. So how can you support the design system and still stay sane? There are some parts of every interface in your company that should always be consistent. Brand elements, fonts, the color palette, grid layout and spacing, and styling for page elements, like form fields, should look the same regardless of the place they're being used.
