- While I often view the Ultra keyer as a relatively basic effect, it does offer a surprising amount of control. Let's explore some of the most useful sliders first, that will greatly improve your results. Now, I've already applied some of the key settings here, and I'm going to work with the default settings. Notice, we have a little bit of shadow here underneath the nose and the coffee mug. If we view this at 100 or 200%, it's easy to see. If I toggle between the composite view, look at that little bit of extra shadow there as it comes up to the face and is creating a shadow on her face or the backdrop. I'm going to switch this back to the alpha channel to make it easier to see. Now there are several categories, matte generation, matte cleanup, spill suppression, and color correction.
