- [Instructor] If you want to share data with others who use your computer or need access via a local network, you'll need to create shares. Shares let you control who can access what, called authentication, and what they can do with it once they had that access, called authorization. There are several ways to go about this in Windows 10. You can use File Explorer. You might have some experience with this already. You can create and manage shares from a command line or a PowerShell session too. And you can use the Shared Folders snap-in available in a Microsoft management console to view and manage shares. I'd like to talk a little about each of these. Let's start with File Explorer. Open File Explorer by clicking the folder icon on the task bar. For the sake of simplicity, click this PC and double click the C Drive.
