Joining a domain
- [Instructor] Before you can join a Windows 11 PC to an active directory domain, you'll need to make sure that the PC's DNS settings are configured correctly so that the PC is able to resolve the domain name. Let's go ahead and do that. I'm going to right-click on the Start button, I'll go to Run, and I'll type control, and click OK. This is going to open the Control Panel. So here we can see the Windows Control Panel. I'll go ahead and click on Network and Internet. Next, I'll click on Network and Sharing Center, and then I'm going to click on Change Adapter Settings. This causes my network adapter to be displayed. I'm going to right-click on the network adapter, and I'll chose Properties. Next, I'm going to click on Internet Protocol version 4 TCPIP v4, and I'll click Properties. And I'm going to configure this machine to use a specific DNS server address. I'll go ahead and enter that address now. And, of course…
