- [Instructor] In order to get the most out of this course, it's helpful if you have a firm understanding of the construction discipline or disciplines that you are working with, the services you or your company provide that you are proposing. Remember, we are writing a technical proposal here. For instance, if you're trying to create a proposal to a client for a new heating and cooling system for their building, you should be well-versed on the concepts of buildings such a system, as well as all of the detailed definitions and terms associated with the HVAC industry. Because construction proposals are reiterations of an estimate or costing of a project, you should understand the principles of estimating. You should also be familiar with how to write a business letter with good spelling and proper grammar. In this course, we're going to be using word processing applications, such as Microsoft Word or Google Docs and portable document format applications such as Adobe Acrobat. We will…
