Structure your message for easy reading

- [Host] What you write in your email is important, but how you format what you write matters, too. Good formatting makes your message easier to read and also highlights your professionalism and attention to detail. First, unless you're writing to someone you exchange many emails with a day, begin with a professional greeting that includes the recipient's name, such as "Dear Quinn," or "Hi Alyssa." If appropriate, and if you don't need to optimize your preview text, include a short, friendly opening line, such as "Thank you for the great meeting today," or "I hope you had a spooky Halloween." And then get straight to the point of your message, such as, "I'm writing to see if you have any open bookings for the week of November 6th." Keep the opening as short and to the point as possible so it's clear what you need or are trying to convey. Shorter paragraphs also draw more attention, so keep your most important information…
