Use email for good

- [Teacher] Even though email is an efficient business tool, it doesn't always have to be transactional, boring or a chore to send or receive. Remember that there's a human on the other end of your email. My first boss taught me to write at least one thank-you note every week, and today I'd like to pass that tradition on to you with a reminder to make a habit of thanking people for their work, friendship, or support. A surprise thank you will make someone's day. Many of the things you learned in this course also apply to thank-you emails. Be clear, be specific, and it's also fine to keep it short. Tell the person what you're thanking them for and why it was meaningful. Did someone take over your shift when you needed a break, review a document you needed help with, or maybe just cheer you up with a friendly word when you were having a bad day? Let them know.
