- Zoom includes multiple options for creating closed captions or subtitles in real time during a meeting to assist participants with being better able to follow the conversation. During any meeting, the host or a participant assigned by the host can provide manual captions or integrate a third party closed captioning service or even enable automated captions also called live transcriptions. Let's take a look at how this works. First, sign into the Zoom web portal and go to settings. Go to the in meeting advanced section and here you'll find the caption options which I currently already have on. So first we have manual captions, and underneath that we have the options to allow the host to type captions or to assign a meeting participant to type.
