The Hon Candy Broad GAIST GAICD was inducted into the Victorian Women's Honour Roll at a ceremony this week by the Minister for Women, The Hon Natalie Hutchins MP, and attended by former Premier The Hon John Brumby AO, former WHV CEO Marilyn Beaumont OAM, and current WHV CEO Sally Hasler. Candy’s leadership over many decades has transformed the lives of women and girls in Victoria, from driving abortion law reform to helping establish 1800 My Options, which has supported more than 40,000 people with contraception, abortion and sexual health information to date. During the Brumby Government, Candy's tabling of a private members bill for abortion law reform was an act of great courage and sacrifice, putting decriminalisation of abortion squarely on the Victorian legislative reform agenda. WHV staff and Board are delighted to extend our heartfelt congratulations to Candy Broad - a fierce advocate for women’s health and rights! #HonourHer #CelebrateVicWomen
