European Society for Molecular Imaging - ESMI’s Post

🚨 EXCITING NEWS!!! Introducing the Trailblazer Plenary Lecture at #EMIM: "The Trailblazer Lecture celebrates a scientist whose work has advanced beyond early-career recognition. It shines a light on a rising leader whose trajectory points unmistakably toward lasting impact and excellence at the highest level." We are proud to announce that Markita Landry will deliver the inaugural Trailblazer Lecture at the #EMIM2026 in Ljubljana. Markita is an Associate Professor of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at UC Berkeley, where she leads the Landry Lab for Optical Nanomaterials & Single-Molecule Research. Her interdisciplinary team works at the cutting edge of single-molecule biophysics and nanomaterial-polymer science, developing novel tools to probe and characterize biological systems at the molecular level. Their innovations enable real-time imaging of neuromodulation in the brain and offer a groundbreaking approach to delivering genetic materials into plants without transgenic DNA integration - visit her lab here https://landrylab.com/. And... mark your calendars: 🗓️ 24–27 March 2026 📍 Ljubljana, Slovenia 📌 Abstract deadline: 18 November 2025 🌐 https://lnkd.in/e9cEeqh4 And there’s more to come! You'll soon get to hear directly from Markita in edition #16 of the “Dive into Imaging Science” podcast, hosted by Tim Witney and Giannis Zacharakis — just recorded and coming soon 🎙️ . #ScienceLeadership #Trailblazer
