Anyone else feeling the tension around the GPT-5 release? 😬 For some, it's an exciting new tool. For others, it's a frustrating change that feels like a downgrade. This isn't just about AI. It's a fundamental challenge in tech: the creators are focused on the shiny new features, while the users are grieving the loss of their favorite workflows. With AI, this gap can feel even bigger as the models we rely on change almost overnight. If we want people to actually adopt new technology, we can't just release it and hope for the best. We need to communicate clearly, discuss the pros and cons honestly, and, most importantly, listen to the users who will be most impacted. If they feel left behind, no amount of new features will make a difference. Speaking of adoption, don't miss our upcoming live session with Adobe to help navigate adoption through enterprise. We'll be addressing real-world hurdles: workflow inefficiencies, organizational inertia, and strategic AI placement. 🔗 It's free to attend: https://lnkd.in/ep7wgvjb

What we’ve learned building real-world AI products After working across multiple enterprise AI deployments, one insight has become painfully clear: Specificity = Trust. Specific prompts → specific responses → specific user value. This is not a “fine-tuning” problem. It’s a product design problem. The onus is on product teams to shape AI outputs that feel tailored, useful, and human. ⸻ For builders and product leaders: 💡 Start here: • Build for narrow workflows, not broad topics. • Inject relevant context at every step—user role, metadata, previous actions. • Write and test prompts like you write UI copy: intentionally, repeatedly. • Don’t let your “default” be “generic.” ⸻ AI works. But only when we stop treating it like magic—and start treating it like product. ⸻ Would love to hear from others building real AI systems: What’s your favorite way to inject specificity?

This is an excellent interview with Asha Sharma on the shift from org charts to work charts. Layer137 believes the future of sales isn’t about replacing people with AI it’s about making people more effective. A “work chart” helps you see where AI can have the biggest impact in your sales cycle. Here’s how: 1. List the work, not the roles. Write down tasks like “qualify leads” or “prep for meetings.” 2. Map the workflow. Connect those tasks into a simple flow of how sales really happens. 3. Spot the friction. Find the slow, repetitive, or error-prone steps. 4. Overlay AI agents. Use AI to: Automate, Enrich, and Route work to the right person at the right time Listen to the full conversation here: https://lnkd.in/eAGJ7dxb #FutureOfWork #AI #Sales #WorkChart #Layer137

DigitalOcean’s GenAI Platform: Easy AI Agents for Everyone 🚀🤖 DigitalOcean just dropped its new GenAI Platform, a cool way for businesses and creators to build AI helpers without needing to be AI wizards 🧙♂️. Launched in August 2025, this tool lets you connect powerful AI models with your own data, so the AI actually knows your stuff—like a chatbot that’s read all your documents 📄💡. What’s hot? 🔥 You can plug in your data and use built-in AI models to create smart agents that help with customer support, data insights, or automations. It supports multi-agent setups, meaning bots can team up and tackle complex jobs together. Plus, it has safety guardrails to keep answers on track ✅. Some quirks ⚠️ The interface is straightforward but not fancy, so it feels a bit like building with blocks rather than a polished app. Some advanced features need a bit of learning — not quite plug-and-play for absolute novices. Should you try it? If you want to bring AI into your projects without coding headaches and love experimenting, this platform is a smart playground. But if you crave a flashy, super simple AI, you might want to hold off until it’s more polished 🎯. Basically, DigitalOcean’s GenAI Platform is a solid gateway to AI, mixing power and simplicity for curious users ready to roll their sleeves up! ✨🛠️

AI Prompt Engineering: Your guide to unlocking AI’s full potential Prompt engineering is the art and science of designing and refining the instructions you give to a large language model so its outputs align precisely with your goals. By tweaking phrasing, structure, and context, you transform vague AI replies into clear, actionable insights. It’s not just about asking questions - it’s about crafting a conversation with the model that yields precision, clarity, and real world applicability. Well-crafted prompts unlock: - Increased accuracy and relevance - Faster iteration and productivity - Cross domain versatility Storytelling flair By framing tasks with vivid context or personas (for example, “Taking the role of a data privacy consultant…”), the responses will be more engaging and domain accurate. Each tweak to wording or prompt iteration sparks new angles, turning generic answers into meaningful solutions. For example: Prompt v1 (vague): “List marketing ideas.” Prompt v2 (refined): “You are a B2B SaaS marketer targeting finance teams. Provide five cost-effective email campaign ideas, each with a subject line, brief description, and expected open rates.” Result: Specific, actionable email concepts. Real-world impact Business: Automated report drafting, tailored marketing strategies, smarter customer support bots. Science: Research paper summarisation, hypothesis generation, data-driven experimental designs. Academia: Customised study guides, interactive tutoring scenarios, rapid quiz/question creation. Investing time in prompt engineering multiplies downstream value: higher-quality drafts, fewer human edits, and faster decision cycles. Whether you’re automating reports in finance, drafting abstracts in academia, or simulating experiments in science, mastering this craft transforms AI from a black box into a precision tool that accelerates innovation. What’s one prompt you’ve used to refine an AI output from “meh” to “wow”? Please share your examples below! #AI #PromptEngineering #GenerativeAI #DigitalTransformation #BusinessAutomation #AIWorkflow #AIEfficiency #AIInnovation #AIFuture #ITStrategy
