2026: What Microsoft, Oracle, Google, and AWS Expect from Partners in AI I hear companies say all the time, “we do AI.” But as we move toward 2026, the cloud giants are making it clear that doing AI is more than a tagline. They are investing heavily, setting expectations for partners, and pointing to where this is headed. Here are the top three themes every partner should know, based on current announcements and what they signal for the road ahead: ⚡ Scaling Infrastructure at Speed Fact: Oracle committed over $25B in AI-driven infrastructure spend, Microsoft is expanding cloud and AI data centers across Europe, and AWS is rapidly growing GPU capacity. What it means: Partners need to align. That could be by building solutions on this expanding capacity or co-selling services that tap into it. The baseline expectation is: can your business actually support generative AI workloads at scale? ⚡ Embedding AI into Products and Workflows Fact: Microsoft is all-in on AI Agents and Copilots, Google Cloud is pushing partners to integrate AI across the customer lifecycle, and Oracle announced deeper collaboration with NVIDIA for agentic AI. What it means: Proof-of-concepts will not cut it anymore. Partners are expected to deliver AI inside usable tools, vertical solutions, and daily workflows. The winners will be those who move from “experimenting” to embedding. ⚡ Readiness: Skills, Governance, and Monetization Fact: AWS launched its Generative AI Competency, Microsoft restructured its partner program to emphasize AI, and Google Cloud is rolling out tools for partners to automate their own operations. What it means: Skills and compliance are now table stakes. Biased or poor-quality data will be flagged. Governance, privacy, and ROI must be part of your AI story. Expect partner incentives and recognition programs to keep shifting toward measurable business outcomes. The big picture The direction is clear: by 2026, the message from all four cloud leaders is converging. Build on their infrastructure, embed AI everywhere, and show you are ready to do it responsibly at scale.
