Altana is helping the auto industry eradicate forced labor and set a new standard for ethical sourcing. With Altana's Product Network, OEMs can collaborate with suppliers to trace and validate their product value chains and gather documentation to prove compliance with the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act (UFLPA).

Today, six major automotive manufacturers—Ford, General Motors, Honda, Nissan, Stellantis, and Toyota— have come together in a joint letter to suppliers, requiring a unified industry approach to forced labor due diligence through the AIAG Due Diligence Reporting Template (DDRT). This industry collaboration provides a single standardized reporting tool alongside access to trusted risk screening solutions and training resources, helping suppliers meet evolving global regulations and new OEM requirements—all available through the AIAG Forced Labor Due Diligence Program. Starting September 2025, select suppliers will be required to report forced labor risks and assessments through the DDRT, with broader supplier participation phased in by mid-2026. This alignment simplifies compliance, reduces duplicated efforts, and strengthens supply chain transparency. At AIAG, we’re proud to help facilitate this industry-wide commitment. Because when leaders speak as one, the path forward becomes clearer for everyone.
