Do not remix a job description into your resume with an LLM. It is obvious to hiring managers.
I am curious Tilde how much of a match is reasonable to get through the door nowadays? General question. The "knockout questions" or non-negotiables aren't always clear. I think the flooded job market (on the applicant-side) as well as the pressure from cascading rejections and balancing a diminished account and trying to determine what medical problem you can afford to solve is creating a new level of Hunger Games in the tech community. Yes, I agree there are some trying to game the system, but there are some that are just trying to survive the storm. People may be resorting to things that they didn't think they would have to, to get by. The problem is layered and not easy to solve. Appreciate your feedback in advance. On the other hand I had a first level connection reach out to me to do his assigned project for a job he was applying for as a favor. Nothing was owed, he knew I loved to write about data and thought he'd ask. 😑
Have you got any totally synthetic applicants yet? We've had several, one even made it to the in-person round.
Ugh. the increased skepticism from hiring managers is wreaking havoc on neurodivergent applicants, whose RSD goes off super hard in response, making them appear worse in interviews.

3moThis feels sticky in general because companies use AI to screen resumes - so a solid candidate without a warm intro may be keyword stuffing to get around a machine screen. But I suspect it's blatantly obvious here the candidate isn't solid.
