First ever stock room & office… Mum’s bungalow back in 2018 😍   After at least 5 years of saving, one brother had £3,000 saved up and the other £10,000 with the second brother still (very kindly 🤣) going 50/50 on the ownership of ARNE!!   It was either try and go into property together or try the more unpredictable route we were most scared of, to trust our gut instinct, our obsession and start a fashion brand…   The vision was to authentically build an anonymous-founded fashion brand and to provide the very best value-for-money minimal clothing and footwear in the world whilst having a ‘Less is MORE’ (as we now call it 😃) and understated impact on the world too. Always anonymous, even with all of the personal brands out there (and some people do a great job by the way), simply because when we ask ourselves “why try to be known?”, it never, ever made sense to try and it’s never been important to us. We just love working on ARNE. What would we gain from trying to be known? And like we said, the world needs a few more ‘Less is MORE examples in it as it continuously moves towards a ‘Fake it till you make it’ way of living. Logo’s were everywhere at the time too and to us, none of it looked good.   ARNE it was, and it always felt like so much more than just starting a fashion brand.   We lost a good £6,000 on mistakes which hurt A LOT after saving from our minimum wage salaries (not a sob story, but it basically took everything we had and we were now ALL IN).   Stress was high but the excitement even HIGHER as we (mainly my brother) put everything we had on the line, balancing full-time jobs alongside building ARNE as we worked in timber yards 6 days per week and psychiatric hospitals & university placements 7 days per week. 6 years later and here we are - it genuinely feels like we’re just getting started 😅   Long for a caption but that’s the shortest version of our story we’ve ever written! We just wanted to take this moment to tell you a little bit more about HOW we started and WHY we do what we do.   We’ll follow-up this week with our biggest lessons learnt over the years and again, thank you SO much for the support ❤️ #ARNE
