Yesterday, I had the privilege of hosting Article's July All Hands. As always, I had a great time—huge thanks to everyone who attended and helped make it happen. One of the things I love most about our All Hands is the self-sufficient nature of it. Over the last couple of years we've transformed the event into a high production-value gathering, focused on building trust, aligning Particles (the people of Article) on key topics, sharing progress, plans and celebrating success. A personal highlight this quarter was announcing the winners of our new employee recognition program: the Article Wayfinder Awards 😊 The event is delivered with ZERO external support. Promotion, content creation, setup/teardown, catering, set design, IT, video, photography, live streaming - EVERY ASPECT is handled by our own team, at a fraction of the cost of outsourcing (and I’d argue to a comparable standard). None of this would be possible without the talented and generous individuals who make it happen, the engaged attendees, and the leadership team who backed this new format in 2023. We’ve also expanded the event into "Conference Week" with supplementary sessions on topics like AI, Career Development, Change Management, and Financial Wellbeing. We usually cap things off with a social event too - this time we held the Article Olympics (Shoutout to the Particle Board for organising, our volunteers, my Purple Cobra team 🐍 and the victorious Orange team). Already looking forward to the next one (after a well-earned breather)!
