Meet Martin! He’s a Senior Programmer at Avassa, and one of the brilliant minds behind the rock-solid systems that power our platform. With a background in network management and a deep appreciation for clean abstractions, Martin builds infrastructure that just works. We asked him to share a bit about what he enjoys most in the Avassa codebase. 👤 Name: Martin Bjorklund 🛠 Favorite part of the code & why: “I really like the HTTP server framework that implements our API. We define the API using YANG, and from that, most of the surrounding code essentially writes itself. It’s a very elegant setup that keeps things consistent and maintainable.” 🧠 Most mind-boggling feature: “The Volga infrastructure. It’s our pub/sub system that handles communication between the Control Tower and edge sites. It’s a key part of how we distribute state and events in a scalable, reliable way across the platform.” ⌨ Keyboard and editor preference: “I use a plain vanilla US keyboard, with a shortcut to switch to Swedish when needed. As for editing, EDITOR=emacs.” What is Meet the Team? Our Engineering team is the true core of this company.
