Today is #EarthOvershootDay, the day we’ve officially used up more resources than our planet can regenerate this year. It’s a clear sign our economy is out of balance. And a reminder that a stable, thriving planet is essential for business. At B Lab, we’re helping build an economy where companies operate within planetary boundaries so business and nature can both flourish. That’s why our new standards require companies to assess their environmental impacts and take meaningful actions to minimize them. Is your company ready to lead? Absolutely agree - Sadly Ireland had it's Overshoot Day already in May, and Earth Overshoot Day is a powerful reminder that we need more than incremental change - we need foundational shifts in how innovation itself is understood and structured. I’ve developed and advocate a Foundational Innovation Model designed to help guide transitions toward sustainable, regenerative systems. It offers a systemic shift to align innovation efforts with planetary boundaries and long-term resilience. I hope it can contribute to conversations like this one - especially among those rethinking the role of business in society. 📘 Open access: https://zenodo.org/records/15164101 #EarthOvershootDay #SustainableInnovation #NbS #PlanetaryBoundaries #SystemsChange #BusinessForGood #ClimateInnovation #Biodiversity #CircularEconomy #OpenScience

Love this! If you wonder why there are so many sustainable brands…They are more likely to success in the near future, not only because they worry about the planet and have a mission, but because people is also worried about it and so it creates community, it shows that brands are taking action and have social responsibility. You can also get into this market trend, you can start by implementing small actions such as printing less, recycling at the office-home, trying to buy recycled supplies, etc.

Social Framework platform sits nicely at a project level rating the business and its supply chain on what matters. Www.DigitalSF.com.xn--au-em72ax5j4sc

Hey B-Lab! I have been thinking about if there's a space for a business like mine to fall under b-lab cert. I don't know that mental health requires that, but I am a very eco-heavy structured business, and I value environmental protection. What do you think? Are there merits to setting up medical offices in carbon-offset/ecofriendly kinds of ways?

Love it. Tell that to our current administration
