What does the future of production look like when connectivity has no limits? At our BASF Coatings site in Münster, Germany, we are exploring exactly that together with Vodafone. A new pilot project will run for the next 12 months, testing how a private 5G campus network can unlock possibilites. Over the coming months, different applications will be tested - from driverless transport systems to smart sensors and even digital twins. “Private 5G networks count as protected infrastructure and are key for sensitive data and critical applications,” says Christian Löffler, Project Lead at BASF Coatings.
