Brad D. Smith’s Post

Much of what I do in life is, and always has been, rooted in family, West Virginia and leaving this world a bit better than I found it. With this in mind, I am humbly honored to share that Alys and I have officially gifted $50 million to Marshall University. Our intent is to offer our students, professors, faculty and the West Virginia community the resources needed to receive a high-caliber education and college experience. I’m not sure it’s possible to be more passionate about expanding access to education – something I see as a great equalizer in opportunity. From my childhood in Kenova to my time in Silicon Valley, I have taken a service-first mindset to heart and will continue to live like it! I am unspeakably grateful for the opportunity to give back to an institution I care so deeply about and as always, am looking forward to the bright future of Marshall University. https://lnkd.in/e44ji8wQ

Amazing what you’ve accomplished and the positive impact you’ve made and continued to make. Funny I got an invite to a 30th anniversary 9 Entin Rd reunion yesterday and happen to think of you walking past my next door office all day… then I saw this. Proud of what you’re doing…good works bring good karma
