Our fully distributed team at Buffer recently came together in Antalya, Türkiye for our annual company retreat. ✨ Every year, we choose a new corner of the world to gather in, not just to connect on strategy, but to connect as people. This retreat was no different! Here's a high-level breakdown of how we spent our time: 🛬 Saturday → Teammates start arriving from all over the world. We added an extra day for teammates who have especially big time zone changes to help recover from jet lag and get settled. 💙 Sunday → Everyone’s here! We kicked things off with a warm welcome event. 📆 Monday → Team-wide session with updates, stories, and a keynote from our CEO, Joel. → Afternoon department breakouts. → Evening personal story sessions; one of our favorite traditions! ✨ 🫶 Tuesday → Team breakouts + company-wide support time. → For dinner, groups met up again to continue their personal stories sessions! 🪩 Wednesday → Cross-functional sessions, a conversation on equity, and a big team dinner. → Optional karaoke made a strong showing! 🌤 Thursday → A quieter morning followed by a leadership roundtable, team photos, and a lovely gratitude session to wrap things up. ✈️ Friday → Everyone started their journeys home. Every Buffer retreat is its own story, shaped by the people, the place, and the quiet, in-between moments that don’t fit on a schedule.
