Private Capital Supporting Growing Businesses in Scotland 📈   John Lamont MP, Member of Parliament for Berwickshire, Roxburgh and Selkirk visited innovative Scottish Borders company Kibosh Ltd. to see the impact of private capital investment on regional growth and sustainability.   Kibosh is backed by Par Equity, an early-stage venture capital firm supporting high-growth tech companies across the north of the UK. In 2022, Kibosh secured investment to advance its leak repair technology for oil, gas, and liquid pipelines, helping scale operations and strengthen its position in plumbing repair solutions.   The company has developed a patented range of emergency pipe repair clamps and freezing systems that are now used across residential, commercial, and industrial markets.   The company welcomed John Lamont MP to its headquarters last week, where he met the team, learned about their sustainability impact, and discussed growth plans with Founder and CEO Ross Dickinson.   Following the visit, John Lamont MP said:   “These innovative tools are an engineering masterpiece, helping people to quickly fix pipe leaks. It is great to see Kibosh being shipped around the world and to hear about their rapid expansion into the energy and industrial sectors.”   This visit was part of the BVCA’s MP Connect programme, which arranges meetings between MPs and member-backed businesses to showcase the value of private capital.
