While these are important, being only process-driven often reduces ITSM to a checklist exercise. But ITSM was never meant to be just about processes—it’s about delivering value. ✔️ A value-driven ITSM approach ensures that every process, practice, and tool contributes directly to business outcomes. ✔️ It aligns IT with organizational goals, enabling IT to be a partner in growth, not just a support function. ✔️ It shifts focus from “Are we following the process correctly?” to “Are we enabling value for the business and the customer?” In today’s digital-first world, agility, customer experience, and measurable outcomes matter far more than strict process adherence.
