Check out this new visual on who should be getting flu, RSV and COVID vaccines this year. I've been privileged to work with Common Health Coalition to help clear up some of the confusion based on available evidence-based recommendations. Who should get this season's vaccines? 😷 Flu vaccine: Everyone 6 months & older should get this year's flu vaccine. Flu vaccines are available now in many pharmacies and clinics. 🩹 RSV vaccine: Recommended for infants, in pregnancy & for older adults. 🦠 COVID vaccine: Still some unknowns here, but check out the table for what professional medical societies recommend currently. Nice job Common Health Coalition on this chart!
Thanks Charlene Wong - helpful to see in these tumultuous times for vaccine programs. Clear communication for practitioners and the public has never been more important. Keep it up!
What do pharmacies do in states that require FDA authorization before they can be offered? North Carolina is one of those states and the Covid vax isn't available anywhere it seems, at least at this time.
I live in Georgia, over 70 years old and was just told by my pharmacy that my doctor had to write a prescription for the new Covid vaccine! This is absurd!!
Thank you for sharing this informative and helpful resource Charlene Wong.
