Not all treasure is silver or gold - mine calls me “Dad”. Today we watched our son Kyle be commissioned a 2nd LT in the United States Army. It fills me with pride, not because of his accomplishment, but because it marks a journey filled with service, leadership and sacrifice. We could tell early in his life that something like this would be his calling. Today was his commissioning, later this week he will graduate Magna Cum Laude from Arizona State and then his journey will begin with a couple of months at Ft Knox and then on to Fort Benning GA for the Infantry Officer basic course followed by Ranger School. His ultimate assignment will be a platoon leader role at Fort Johnson LA with one of the more combat ready, deployable units in the Army Oh the places he will go, and the things he will do, as he steps forward to serve our nation. We are so proud of him and grateful to everyone that helped him along this journey. #forksup #asuarmyrotc #lifeofservice
