"Marking 10 years of Make In India, CII–PwC launched a report “Manufacturing for India & the World” which highlights India’s rapid emergence as a global hub for renewable energy manufacturing, with growing capabilities in solar modules, wind turbine components, batteries, electrolyzers, and transmission technologies. A session on the theme emphasised strategies to scale domestic manufacturing to meet rising global demand while boosting export potential across the clean energy value chain. Strengthening MSMEs, especially in critical transmission equipment like transformers and switchgear, was identified as key. Aligning with international quality standards, leveraging trade agreements, and enhancing competitiveness in global supply chains remain priorities through policy support, industrial infrastructure, and supply chain resilience will be essential to drive an export-oriented renewable manufacturing ecosystem."
