Comic Agilé no. 298 - Fired (reshare) Start educating Management on the value-add of Scrum Masters (and set them free). And hire good ones. Of both. #agile #scrum #scrummaster #layoff #comicagile
so real 🍄
The premise that the system works, so if you remove the staff that does not contribute directly to the output then you have a system that still produces the same output but on a lower operational cost. The problem that most of time these systems includes people...
A properly done agile transformation requires: 🌟 Vision 🌟 Empowerment 🌟 Clearing up a path from the suffocating weeds of legacy structures. I have seen on multiple occasions how agile transformation in the industry fails, or in the best case is massively held back by a number of unfortunate factors: 👉 confusing the lack of any structure with agility 👉 having that one project which turned out really bad tarnish agility, because they were using "agile" and look what happened! Better stick to good old classic project management where everything is under control, and we have a PLAN. 👉 hiring consultants which use the right buzz words, but have limited practical experience and no intention to "get their hands dirty". Quoting some of my not so distant past: "we are only here to support you in figuring out how to do the job yourself". Very helpful that is, shouting swimming instructions from the shore to a drowning man!

1moAs a former Agile coach, I saw it over and over again, teams struggling not because Agile doesn’t work, but because the role of 'Scrum Master' was misunderstood and diluted. Too many people wore the title without ever learning to speak the developers’ language or earn their trust. The result? Rituals without purpose, and frameworks without flow. No wonder the role now feels almost prehistoric.
