At the heart of hospice are dedicated volunteers who go above and beyond to make a meaningful difference. Compassus hospice volunteer Laci Anderson of Billings, MT, is known for her personalized approach and the special bond she forms with our patients. She gets to know them—their favorite hobbies, stories and interests— to tailor every visit. Laci's standout tradition is "Farm Visits" when she shares photos and videos of her beloved farm animals. Little Bit the pig is a huge hit! Laci helps patients create scrapbook albums of old photos, lost letters and other mementos. She made a late-night Fourth of July visit so a patient could watch fireworks. She spent hours researching a patient's family war story.
