What I learned on the road is the same thing I believe about partnerships: it’s all about connection and trust. As Helen Keller said, ‘Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.’ ✨ Ready to bring that same energy into mission-driven partnerships. #CommunityImpact #MissionDriven #DonorEngagement #Partnerships #NonprofitLeadership

The 20% rule is gone. For decades, only the biggest players hit the lobbying threshold. The new 8-in-4 rule lowers the bar so far that any active organization — a startup, a sector association, a nonprofit — could now be in scope. This is not a niche problem. It touches every industry, every nonprofit, every innovator that engages government on funding, programs, or policy. The pain point is simple: compliance risk used to be rare. Now, it’s everywhere. Organizations that fail to adapt will face penalties, investigations, or lost credibility. 👉 ComplyGov is building Canada’s compliance infrastructure so every org can engage government safely, without chilling their impact. #Innovation #CanadianBusiness #Nonprofits #Policy #Compliance #GovTech BetaKit Inovia Capital Brightspark Ventures

Steps to Finding Corporate Partners – What Every Program Director Needs to Know In my last post, I talked about why non-profits must start prioritizing corporate partnerships. Today, let’s talk about how to find them. As a program manager, grant writer, and fundraiser who’s walked this journey with many organizations, I can tell you for free that this process isn’t quick, but it’s incredibly worthwhile. Especially now, with traditional donor funding shrinking, corporate engagement is no longer optional. It’s strategic survival. So, how do you begin? 1. Get Clear on Your Value Before you reach out to anyone, know what you’re offering. Corporates don’t fund problems—they invest in solutions aligned with their brand and CSR goals. 2. Research, Don’t Rush Identify companies already supporting similar causes or working in your region. Look at their CSR reports. Know who they’re funding and why. 3. Start with Relationships, Not Proposals You’re not pitching for funding—you’re opening a conversation. Focus on building a connection before asking for support. 4. Align Missions Clearly How does your program solve a challenge they care about? Speak their language. Think: impact, visibility, community engagement, and SDG alignment. 5. Be Patient, Be Strategic Partnerships are built, not handed out. It takes months—sometimes years. But if you’re intentional, it pays off in ways one-time grants never will. If you’re in leadership or managing programs, you should be building this pipeline now—not when funding runs out. Happy to connect and share more from what I’ve seen work on the ground. #NonprofitLeadership #CorporatePartnerships #FundraisingStrategy #DonorEngagement #ProgramManagement #NGO #CSRCollaboration #ImpactDriven #PartnershipBuilding

When there’s a talent gap, it’s these cross-sector partnerships that fill it—with shared funding, shared vision, and impact that lasts. Working with corporates for 30 years has taught Hailey one thing: 💡 Corporates don't say no because the offer isn’t compelling. They say no because changemakers often approach at the wrong time. The right time = open doors and budget allocated. The wrong time = silence, stall, or “come back next year.” In Hailey’s new blog, she reveals the critical planning windows that unlock six-figure partnerships - and the 4 common motivations that lead non-profits to approach at exactly the wrong time. If you want more partners saying YES, it starts here 👉 https://lnkd.in/gK7da4Y5 . . . #corporatepartnerships #changemakers #socialimpact #fundraisingstrategy #partnershipsuccess #corporatesponsorship #bepartnerready #nonprofitgrowth #partnershipbuilding #strategicpartnerships
