This chart is a breakdown of overall ChatGPT usage. Lots of interesting info here. I was happy to see Asking About The Model as a category. It’s not huge but it’s still good to know I’m not the only one that asks ChatGPT how it works and what it can do 😂. Does anything else stand out to you? Most people don’t realize that ChatGPT has a memory, and that it can completely change how you use it. • Memory OFF = safer for random tasks • Memory ON = powerful if you use it for one specific purpose But there’s also a risk when mixing topics… Check the carousel for a clear breakdown. Do you usually use ChatGPT for a single focus - or for random things every day?

Great visual on #AI usage. It's good to see this predominantly reflecting what these models are built for. LLMs are designed for generating plausible-sounding approximations based on predictions and broad data input. This is a primary reason we see a heavy skew toward tasks like writing. But the fact that they're also overwhelmingly trained on English-language data adds to the challenge for multilingualism. For #translation, the right AI tool is key. NMT (Neural Machine Translation) systems are purpose-built for translation. They learn from huge datasets of real-world multilingual text to produce accurate, contextually aware translations. On the other hand, free, non-customised LLMs lack the cultural nuance and specialised training required for reliable multilingualism (at this stage), which is reflected in the relatively low percentage for translation in the graph. When it comes to high-stakes, nuanced content, the key is to use the right tool for the job. And for nuanced translation, that's rarely a free LLM. #localisation #l10n #globalisation

Yesterday, a simple question from my father-in-law sparked reflection. He asked, “How do I print my ChatGPT response?” His preference for seeing information on paper rather than a screen or through voice interaction highlighted his need for clarity, focus, and comfort. The idea of an "Output to PDF" button almost seemed like a natural expectation to him. Accessibility is not a one-size-fits-all concept; it varies for each individual. As builders, we often prioritize innovation, but the true impact lies in meeting people where it makes sense to them – or helping to get there in the easiest way possible.

GenAI TIP: Switch on 'Thinking' mode in ChatGPT 5. I have 'Thinking' mode switched on all the time, it takes a bit longer but I feel the responses I get are better quality. If you haven't done this since the upgrade to ChatGPT 5, have a look at the screenshot below on how to do it. You will default be set to 'Auto'. This means that ChatGPT decides what model to use to answer your question - sometimes you might get a quick answer other times you might get thinking mode.

Does Your Business Show Up in ChatGPT’s Results? Or are your competitors getting all the visibility? Try this simple test: Who is the best [WHAT YOU DO] in [YOUR CITY]? Run it in ChatGPT. The results might surprise you... But they’ll tell you exactly where you stand. Because if you’re invisible there... You’re probably invisible to the customers asking the same question.

In July 2025, 18 billion messages were being sent each week by 700 million commercial ChatGPT users*. In less impressive terms, a mean of 3.6 messages sent per user per day. Now think about how that distribution might look like. *Commercial ChatGPT user behavior is honestly what we care about more.
