MBBS, MD, MICR, DNB, FRCR (UK), EDiR, DICR | Prof Carty Pediatric Radiology Fellow 2025 | Passionate Radiologist with interest in Pediatric Imaging | All that’s taken me this far, ‘tis but His grace! 😇

Over the past couple of days, I had the privilege of being an examiner for the FRCR 2B Mastercourse by FRCR TUTORIALS LIMITED —for the second year. It was a fantastic experience, filled with learning and inspiration. The course followed the new domain-based scoring system introduced by the The Royal College of Radiologists which focuses not just on making the right diagnosis but also on clinical reasoning, management, and communication—a more complete and realistic way of assessing radiologists. It was a powerful reminder that in radiology—and in medicine as a whole—what we see on the image is only part of the story. What we do with it, how we communicate it, and how we carry the patient through it—that’s where true expertise lies. It was great to interact with senior examiners, observe their approach, and learn from their wisdom. And then came my role— To observe, analyse, evaluate, and offer structured, meaningful, constructive feedback to candidates who are giving their all. To support them not just in passing, but in becoming—radiologists who are sharp, kind, confident, and clear. Every examiner brought something valuable to the table. The cases were excellent, the discussions rich, and the feedback insightful. Being part of this helped me grow—not just as an examiner, but as a teacher and learner. It stirred my passion for radiology and reminded me why I love teaching and why I want to keep getting better at it. Teaching is not about having all the answers—it’s about staying curious, staying humble, and staying committed to helping others rise. And in that process, we rise too. Huge thanks to Sameer Shamshuddin and the FRCR Tutorials team for this opportunity! #FRCR2B #RadiologyEducation #FRCRTutorials #FRCR2BMasterCourse #Radiology #MedicalTeaching #LearningNeverStops #FRCR #Gratitude #RCR #LifelongLearning
