I’ve spent the last few months at primary care conferences hearing the same thing: leaders are trying to figure out where and when AI actually fits inside an FQHC. What’s proving useful is simple. AI works best in FQHCs when it can handle routine administrative work so staff can focus on care. That means better care, more patients seen, and less burnout.

We are at a major cross roads now where technology and in particular AI can be leveraged to create efficiencies for physicians and other practitioners that reduces their administrative burden to free up more time for them to spend with patients enhancing empathy and patient satisfaction— ultimately leading to better outcomes. While it is difficult to reach empath doctors and practitioners are overly burdened with administrative duties that detracts from direct patient care and conversation. #Empathy #Innovation #Heal #Compassion #PatientSatisfaction

When AI talks, AI listens 👂 "AI is very good at this stuff, very efficient at mining large records and pulling out key pieces of data and putting them in the right places, as well as following rules," Chief Medical Officer Colin Banas, M.D., M.H.A., tells This Week Health’s Bill Russell. This bodes very well for getting to a place where it can handle prior authorizations in most cases, and only needing to escalate the unique cases that fall outside of the set parameters, Dr. Banas said. AI voice agents in action. A recent study at Emory Healthcare found that AI-powered voice calls helped seniors report accurate blood pressure readings, improving quality measures and lowering costs. At the same time, our partner Hyro launched ARMR™ Outreach, a proactive outreach solution to help health systems guide patients through coverage continuity. Together, they highlight a future where AI supports — not replaces — clinical teams by handling routine outreach and freeing humans for higher-value care. Clinicians are stretched — and they’re feeling it. 28% say they don’t have enough time to provide quality care. Nearly half say tiredness is affecting how they treat patients. Many see AI as part of the solution — easing admin, saving time, improving care. But only a third have access to the tools or training they need. Independent practices are the backbone of healthcare — but they’re under strain. Our recent survey found many clinicians struggling with burnout, cutting back hours, or rethinking how long they can keep up the pace. But it also revealed something encouraging: AI is already helping. Clinicians using tools like Freed are spending less time charting after hours, carrying less admin burden, and focusing more on patient care. That’s the conversation our CEO, Erez Druk, brought to HIMSS: how AI can help lighten the load and keep community medicine thriving. https://lnkd.in/g3wMHvSy
