💡 Did you know that yesterday’s paper waste could become tomorrow’s toilet paper? 🚛 Every day, more than 20 trucks arrive at our mill in Lilla Edet, filled with office paper, flyers, and paper towels. In a newly published article in Göteborgs-Posten, you can step behind the scenes of our recycling process—where paper fibers are “washed,” sorted, and refined up to eight times before reaching the end of their lifecycle. 🌍 It’s a powerful example of how we at Essity turn waste into value - reducing environmental impact, conserving resources, and creating benefits for both people and the planet. 🏭 And it doesn’t stop there. Our production facility in Lilla Edet is the world’s first fossil-free tissue mill. By replacing natural gas with biogas and using recycled paper as raw material, we’ve created a production process entirely free from fossil fuels - while also supplying district heating to the local community. 📰 Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/dThtfBA7 Christian Carlsson Axel Thegerström Edh #CircularEconomy #FossilFree #Essity #LillaEdet #Tork #Lotus

At Crawling Valley Plastics, recovery is a key part of our circular approach to manufacturing. Whenever possible, we collect clean, post-industrial plastic from our facility and from participating customers to be reprocessed and reintegrated into our production cycle. This helps reduce waste, extend the life of usable plastic, and lower the environmental impact of our operations. Our recovery program isn't just good for the planet - it also creates value for our clients. By reusing clean, sorted material that would otherwise be discarded, we're able to reduce our overall waste in the supply chain and keep more plastic in use, not in landfills. #PlasticFreeJuly may be coming to an end today, but our commitment to sustainability isn’t. At #ExcelNetworking, sustainability is more than a one-month spotlight - it’s a fully integrated mindset that shapes how we operate every day. This July, we’ve highlighted just a few of the ways we’re reducing plastic waste: 🟢 Supporting customers to minimise waste with online configuration tools 🟢 Measurable impact via our Plastic Free Calculator 🟢 Plastic-free product packaging 🟢 Recycled shrink wrap & void filler 🟢 Crash lock boxes And one more initiative we’re especially proud of: our cable reel reuse programme. We sell millions of metres of cable each year, many of which are shipped out on wooden reels. Where we can, we are collecting and reusing these reels. It’s a simple idea with powerful results: ✅ Less waste to landfill ✅ Fewer resources consumed ✅ A more circular, responsible supply chain To date, this initiative has seen a reduction of 50,542 kgs of plywood and 83 tonnes of CO2 per year. Let’s keep the momentum going beyond #PlasticFreeJuly. 🔗 Learn more: https://lnkd.in/e2QpjK_5
