✈️ SSSS, “randomly selected”, 15 years on, I’ve changed a lot, but… some things never change. If you know, you know. “Secondary Security Screening Selection.” It used to show up every time I flew during my MBA years in the U.S. A routine part of life for a Lebanese passport holder. 15 years later, I’m flying back for my MBA reunion—and the SSSS is still with me. Even after becoming French. But what’s really changed is how I look at this trip. Paris–New York–Philly–Paris = nearly 2 tons of CO₂. That’s the entire annual climate budget per person if we want to reach net zero by 2050. And I used to make this trip without a second thought. Now, it’s a major decision—my first personal transatlantic flight in a decade—and the jury’s still out if it’s “worth it.” I guess it depends on what happens there. Whom I reconnect with. What ideas are exchanged. What new energy I bring back. So if you’re a classmate, a friend from that chapter, or just someone also reflecting on how life’s changed over the past 15 years—I’d love to reconnect, exchange thoughts, and see where we go next. #MBAReunion #Wharton15 #NetZero2050 #MakeItCount
It was truly great to see you back in Philadelphia. Glad we both made the trip to reconnect, although I reckon your concerns about the impact of such trips must be put in the balance and assessed against their potential outcomes. See you in Paris (no flights involved!).
So happy to see you aligned and happy to make this trip in a decade a lively, meaningful, fulfilling event while staying open to the unknown ! Enjoy Fabrice Atallah
Great to see you and catch up over the weekend.
Looking forward to catching up, Fabrice! On se voit demain !
Fabrice Atallah you’re also a member of the 4S club?
Je me suis posé la meme question lors de notre trip annuel aux US en avril... pour nous l'enjeux est fort puisque famille bi-culturelle mais en effet l'impact est énorme... c'est en gros une année entière de velotaf qui part en fumée (literallement 😳)
Thanks for wearing the cap! I hope they let you in! Love to see that cap in New York.. Maybe outside the Trump Tower. ;) Good luck on your journey!
Important reflections Fabrice Atallah -and it changes how we live our lives when we know the impact. Keep spreading the aware perspective - and great message on your cap!
With that red hat, you'll just blend in! Enjoy your reunion! Let's have a catch up call while we're in the same time zone (close to 0 environmental impact 😉)
