Yesterday marked the first day of The Open at Royal Portrush and fans rushed to the store, making it the second-best day in the event’s history for merchandise sales behind the opening Championship day at the 150th Open at St Andrews. The flagship store onsite spans over 28,500 sq ft, offering more than 900 products, and is staffed by 350 of our team members ready to serve the 278,000 fans expected this week. This is the queue to get into your 'incredible retail space' this morning, just shy of AN HOUR just to get in, and by the way, it's definitely NOT incredible. Just another example of fanatics manipulating the market and squeezing absolutely everything out of fans, no matter what sport or team they love! It was common knowledge that there would be almost 300,000 fans visiting Portrush this week but that message didnt get to fanatics obviously!! By the way, 900 products in 28,000 sq ft is really poor use of retail space! REALLY looking forward to the shambles you make of Evertons new retail space in August!!
