100 new colleagues from 5 continents – welcome to FOSS! This week, we had the pleasure of flying in and welcoming around 100 new employees from 18 different countries to the FOSS Innovation Center in Hillerød, Denmark, for FOSS Week – five days packed with energy, insights, and inspiration 💡 We kicked things off with an introduction from Peter Foss, Chairman of the Board. With warmth and humor, he shared the story, mission, and core values of FOSS, “his favorite topic,” as he put it. The Q&A at the end brought plenty of good questions, including: “This might be a controversial question… but why hasn’t the family chosen to sell the company and enjoy the freedom of not having to worry about anything?” Peter’s answer was short, yet heartfelt: “It’s in our blood.” Founded in 1956, this company is deeply rooted in the family and has always been guided by long term, value-based decision-making. As Peter Foss put it: “Profit is like oxygen – you need it to survive, but it can never be the purpose of your business”. The program continued with presentations from CEO Kim Vejlby Hansen and all departments across the company, giving our new colleagues a firsthand look at the instruments and innovations that define FOSS. The event Tuesday wrapped up with a tapas dinner – the biggest FOSS Week dinner we’ve ever seen – and a clear reflection of our growth. In the past 12 months alone, 277 new employees have joined FOSS globally. That’s an average of more than 20 new faces every month! We’re thrilled to welcome all our new staff 🤝
