The Food Analytics Conference builds on presentations and poster pitches by inspiring guest speakers and leading food scientists from all over the world. The focus is on research leading to significant breakthroughs in the application of analytical technologies that lead to improvements in sustainability, quality, and safety in food production.     At FOSS, we are proud to sponsor the conference, and we strive to contribute by continuing to deliver the world’s most innovative analytical solutions, as we have done for more than 68 years. An important part of that is to celebrate those who make a difference with their hard work.     That happened at the end of the afternoon when The Nils Foss Prizes were awarded to the new 2024 laureate and talent.      The Nils Foss Excellence Prize 2024 was awarded to Professor Rudolf Krska from University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (BOKU) and the Institute for Global Food Security. The Nils Foss Talent Prize was presented to Co-Principal Investigator Leonie Johanna Jahn from DTU - Technical University of Denmark. In the legacy of Nils Foss, the prizes have the primary purpose of honoring the scientific community within agriculture, feed, food, and analytical technologies. It recognizes the important research in this community, research that is key to ensuring food quality and food safety, provided in a sustainable way to an ever-growing global population.    Let’s celebrate and honor the two recipients for their important contribution to food science!
