FPHNYC hosts NYC Health Department for Maternal Home Collaborative strategy

Yesterday, FPHNYC had the pleasure of hosting our colleagues from the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene's Center for Health Equity and Community Wellness to collaborate on strategy for the Maternal Home Collaborative (MHC). The MHC addresses Black maternal health inequities and aims to reduce pregnancy-associated deaths among Black women and birthing people in NYC by 10% by 2030. It brings together community-based clinical care, brick-and-mortar community spaces, and social supports. At the strategy session, we explored new approaches to fundraising that not only support a pilot of the MHC but also build on the extensive work already underway at the Health Department to advance Black maternal health in NYC. Huge thanks to everyone who joined us and contributed to such a thoughtful and energizing conversation. We’re excited for what’s ahead! 💡 Learn more: https://lnkd.in/ebAU_9Vu
