General Motors’ Post

We’re thrilled to announce General Motors has been named to Points of Light’s #TheCivic50, an honor recognizing us as one of the nation’s most community-minded companies. The Civic 50 sets a national standard for exemplary corporate citizenship, highlighting how companies can leverage their time, skills and resources to enhance the quality of life in the communities they serve. This award is something everyone at General Motors has been working towards for over a decade and is a direct reflection of our commitment to making a positive impact in communities across the country. Thank you to all our incredible team members who made this happen and for appreciating the fact that doing good isn’t just good for business. It’s good for our workforce and for the entire world. Nice recognition for community pride—but what about pride in global compliance? If General Motors isn’t fully aligned with China’s cybersecurity and data localization laws, your teams there could be in legal limbo, not community celebrations.
