Piles, barrettes, diaphragm walls — all demand precision. But when geotechnical investigation data is scattered across reports and spreadsheets, uncertainty grows, design cycles slow down, and settlement risks become harder to predict. DAARWIN software changes this by consolidating borehole logs, lab results, and in-situ tests into live, data-driven ground models. The result is a workflow where engineers can: ✔ Instantly visualize results from SPT, CPT, stiffness, and groundwater data ✔ Automate and customize parameter characterization for constitutive models ✔ Generate detailed cross-sections and link them directly to PLAXIS ✔ Continuously update models to improve settlement predictions For deep foundation specialists, this means less rework, greater design confidence, and a transparent process that connects investigation to execution. 📖 Read our latest article to see how DAARWIN is setting a new standard in geotechnical investigation: https://lnkd.in/dFnNEwQG 👉 Are you ready to see how DAARWIN could solve your biggest geotechnical challenges? #GroundModel #GeotechnicalInvestigation #DaarwinSoftware #SoilInvestigation #DeepFoundation #IoTMonitoring #DataDrivenMonitoring #GeotechnicalEngineering #Daarwin #saalggeomechanics #digitalconstrution #ConstructionTechnology #RealTimeData #GroundInvestigation #DigitalGeotech #SoilMechanics #GeotechnicalData #EngineeringInnovation #GeotechTools #DesignBuild #InfrastructureDesign #SmartConstruction #InstrumentationMonitoring

Cable and Pipeline projects that deliver route clarity, utility certainty, and as‑built accuracy. Owners and EPC teams advance faster when seabed conditions, utility locations, and burial depths are documented with precision. ARC Surveying and Mapping applies multibeam swath sonar, side‑scan sonar, RTK/GPS control, magnetometer passes, and synchronized data capture to turn complex corridors into decision‑ready maps and models. See the attached project sheet for full context. Four project snapshots: ◉ Cable Route Investigative Survey – Groton CT to Fisher Island, and Plum Island to Orient Point NY High‑resolution multibeam coverage and RTK/GPS positioning mapped the proposed corridors, with side‑scan sonar enhancing object imagery. The survey area spanned 16,000 ft x 1,000 ft and 4,000 ft x 300 ft, supporting selection of an optimal route for installation. ◉ Freeport Harbour Utility Sweep – Grand Bahama Island Multibeam lines, side‑scan sonar, and magnetometer passes tied to harbor control located active and abandoned services along the berth face. Targets were plotted in 3D so designers could place sheets and tiebacks with confidence, keeping expansion on schedule. ◉ Toms River Multichannel Cable Crossing – New Jersey A remote GPS/RTK system mounted on the cable plow and barge, guided by HYPACK, enabled precise navigation during lay. Continuous logging produced as‑built drawings showing location and burial depth for six high‑voltage power cables across two 2‑mile routes. ◉ Escambia County Bridge – Multibeam Swath and Cable Locate A combined topographic laser scan of shoreline and bridge, plus high‑definition multibeam swath sounding focused on scour, documented a cable crossing identified during the bridge survey. This portfolio shows how aligned sensors and disciplined workflows give project teams clear corridors, confident designs, and verified as‑builts. Seismic Survey Multi-Channel Analysis of Surface Waves (MASW) Multi-channel analysis of surface waves (MASW) is a seismic technique used to characterize the shear wave velocity of the subsurface. The MASW Seismic Survey method resembles seismic refraction in that it involves inducing a sound wave into the subsurface, which is then recorded along a traverse line equipped with an array of sensors. https://lnkd.in/dveFM9yk

Beneath the Surface 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭 3: 𝐌𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐝𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐓𝐮𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 After finalizing alignment and access, the next step is choosing how the tunnel will actually be built. The construction method depends on several factors: ● Geology - soft ground, mixed face, or hard rock ● Depth - shallow vs. deep underground ● Urban constraints - surface settlements, nearby buildings, traffic ● Length & purpose - short utility tunnels vs. long metro or highway tunnels Broadly, tunnelling can be carried out using Cut-and-Cover, Drill & Blast, NATM (New Austrian Tunnelling Method), or Tunnel Boring Machines (TBMs) - each with its own strengths depending on the situation. The infographic below gives a quick overview of these methods. Why this matters? Selecting the right tunnelling method ensures safety, minimizes risks, controls cost, and helps deliver the project on time - especially in dense urban areas. 📌 Next in the series: A closer look at NATM and why it’s called the “observational method” of tunnelling. #Tunnelling #UndergroundConstruction #GeotechnicalEngineering #InfrastructureDevelopment
